Weston
Park Hospital
February 2008: A charity fashion show raised nearly £4,000 for the
hospital's Cancer Appeal.
The event, held at The Plug and hosted by Trisha, saw the latest fashions
from Moor retailers Debenhams, BHS, Melody, and Dorothy Perkins on
show. Local independent designer Joanne Colton also showcased bespoke
designerwear from her boutique shop, Yes Orange.
Ladies at the show organised by MoorSheffield were
treated to a complimentary rose, chocolates and glass of bubbly handed
out by firemen from bluewatch at the Central Fire Station.
Two Sheffield Sharks Locka Okoril and George Karras also appeared,
modelling body art creations by Sheffield's Castle College hair, make-up
and media team.
The show featured volunteer models, including city centre ambassadors
Danielle Caruk and Mary Craig and dancers from Hype Dance Company.
Sandra Barley, MoorSheffield Centre Liaison Manager, said: "It
was a really fabulous evening. Everything came together on the day
- including the models rehearsing from scratch - but everyone looked
stunning and the evening was a big success."
