Trisha is an experienced and popular interviewer and appears regularly
at the Sheffield Off The Shelf Festival of Reading and Writing. She
is available to host 'In Conversation' events with authors.

The Shelf Festival: Hosting
an evening 'In Converstion' with Jo Brand, talking about her autobiography
'Look Back in Hunger'.
The
Sheffield Children’s Book Awards began
in 1988. The project was first started to encourage children and young
people to read and also to highlight the very best children’s
books published each year.
The
National Year Of Reading launch
was attended by more than 150 children from five different Sheffield
schools. Guests included the Barnsley Bard, Ian McMillan, and musician
Luke Carver Goss who, with the help of the children, composed a poem
to be used throughout the year to promote the pleasure of reading.
Off
The Shelf: Dervla Murphy
discussed Silverland. Anxious to point out her disapproval of title
of the book, it nevertheless describes her journey across Europe to
Siberia, the beaurocratic eccentricities, and the people she met en
route. The sold-out event was attended by an audience devoted to the
works of Ms Murphy.
Catherine
Bailey: a respected television
director, Black Diamonds is her first book and tells the story of
the Fitzwilliam family of Wentworth Woodhouse in South Yorkshire.
Being very close to home, many members of the audience had personal
connections with the House, including one reader who produced a gold
penknife presented to the 8th Duke by his father on his 21st birthday.
Jane
Glover is one of Britain's most
respected conductors, specialising in Mozart. Her book 'Mozart's Women'
recounts his life through the eyes of the women who were part of it.
Jane joined Trisha 'In Conversation' during the Off The Shelf
Literature Festival.
Daniel Mason, medical student
turned best-selling author, joined Trisha to talk about his novel
The Piano Tuner, together with composer Nigel Osborne, whose
specially commissioned opera is based on the book.
An Evening With Kate Adie. During
the Off The Shelf Festival, Trisha spent nearly two hours talking
with Kate about her career and recent books.
